First and foremost, I cannot get over how you have all turned out to keep trivia not just going but thriving! It really means a lot to me that you have not just kept coming but have been very invested in giving Kendra and myself your opinions and ideas.
Kendra and I put a lot of time and thought into making the questions compelling, interesting, fun and informative. I call our trivia edutainment. I am by no means a trivia expert (don’t even get me started on Kendra…) but I am quite curious and like trying to learn new things as often as possible.
I am guessing you all like it because you keep coming back in and letting us abuse your brains. It is, after all, for money and fun. I’ve had so much fun with all of you the past few Sundays. And for that fun, I give you your weekly hint. The hint is only going to be here on this blog, so make sure you check back every week for a special “blog only” hint.
Here it is… I. Yes, I. Do some homework and check out acronyms that have the letter I in them and memorize what they stand for.
To keep you all up to date; we recently had a very productive meeting with a couple of our liquor reps to discuss our impending cocktail menu (which should be available soon) as well as new dinner, brunch and to-go menus. We are super excited about getting a completely redesigned set of menus. Well, I am considerably more stoked about it than most of my employees who seem to be pretty indifferent really. I guess I am just easier to please.
Back to the point, we had a great tasting session and came to some agreements and got some new products in and the cocktail menu written. It just needs to be prettied up by our designer before it’s permanently implemented.
Final shout out and thank you for the day (because it seems that I wanted to make that the topic of this week’s email), Avondale Brewery and Dallas Henderson specifically. Tini and Jake made plans a while ago to go to the Sublime (I would rather die) concert last night. Turns out Tini’s parents happened to come in town as well. So I made a quick call/text to Dallas who said that it would be no problem at all to get Tini’s family on to the guest list.
The didn’t have to help us out, but they did. Dallas Henderson. I really can’t say enough good things about him. The show was apparently delightful and it happened to fall in the middle Jake’s week off. So my two most important people got to go play with each other. Can’t be mad about that.
In conclusion, we have special inspired by another local restaurant this week; it’s a salad and it is incredible. It’s fried chicken, bacon and avocado with some other things, but with those first three ingredients, does it really matter what else is on it? Second special of the week is the Kale Caesar Burger. It’s exactly as it sounds and 100% delicious!
